Stanley "Tookie" Williams paid for his crimes. He murdered four people and he was put to death for those murders. Prior to his date with his maker, several people potested his sentence. Calling for his death sentence to be commuted because "he had changed". I listened to several radio talk show hosts, CNN, and FOX. Some were wanting to see the sentence carried out, while others agreed with the protesters. But none of them brought up this point: Tookie Williams started the street gang called "the Crypts". There are two major street gangs in our country at this time. The Bloods, and the Crypts these two gangs are responsible for at least 80% of the gang murders in our country. That makes the Crypts responsible for 40% of the murders. If Tookie Williams had never started the Crypts, then 40% of the people killed by them would still be alive. So Tookie was responsible for many, many murders in our country. I can't think of anyone who deserved to be put to death more than Tookie Williams.
